Dome Light Stays On

Here is a tip that may save you some time.

 

If your dome light stays on and you have the courtesy lamp option check for a blown fuse. The dome light and the courtesy lamps are on different fuses. The courtesy lamps are the lamps under the dash on left and right that illuminate the floor. When the fuse blows for the courtesy lamps there will be a path to ground for the dome light through the courtesy lamps. 

 

Yes I know it sounds crazy, but it worked for me! Check here for the wiring diagram.
